2021/2022 SEASON

DIVISION ONE (Week 9)

Cheadle Social Club "B" take over
top spot with an 8 - 6 win away
at Reddish Conservatives "A", with
Poynton WMC "A" who were joint
top last week lost 10 - 4 away
to a team having won their last
four matches The Albert Club "A".

Hazel Grove Snooker "A" probably
put in the performance of the week
when they beat a team fielding six
high minus handicappers in the
shape of Cheadle Conservatives "A"
10 - 4 at home.

What has happened to the
Poynton RBL "A" team that finished
in the places the last season we
played they now find themselves
rock bottom after yet another loss
this time 12 - 2 away at
Benchill Consrvatives "A"

Interestingly all the bottom five
teams failed to win this week.

DIVISION TWO (Week 9)

Alderley Sports "A" got back to
winning ways after their disaster
of last week, they won away at
Heaton Mersey Conservatives "B"
8 - 6 not an easy team to beat.

However they did not get back to
the top Great Moor Sports "B"
putting paid to that when they
won 10 - 4 at home to
Wilmslow Conservatives "A" and
are in top spot.

Hyde Snooker "A" remain placed in
third after beating the improving
Heald Green Social "B" 8 - 6 at
home.

St John's Catholic Club "A" win yet
again this time 8 - 6 away at
Morley Club "A"and are in fourth.

Poynton RBL "B" recorded their
first win for a while 8 - 6 against
Northenden Social Club "A" but
without wanting to sound like a
cracked record the three frames
they lost, two were black ball
games again.

NEW RULE ON CANCELATION OF MATCHES.

Fixtures can only be cancelled for the following reasons:- Closure of Club, Fire or Water damage to Club tables or for a Clubs AGM.

Work, Football, Illness or any Social Event are not bona fide reasons to cancel, even though it will mean playing short.

The penalties for cancelling a game will be 10 points awarded to opponents and 10 points deducted from the team who cancelled who will also receive a £5.00 fine.

The Match Secretary or League Secretary must be contacted when wanting to cancel a match, they will decide if reason is valid.

If in their opinion a valid reason has been given then it will be reported back to the Committee and Delegates at the next meeting.

Their decision will decide appropriate action and will be final ie Game rescheduled or rule to be enforced.

Teams who have a particular game that needs rearranging, can try to play before the season starts or use the week before the Christmas break, providing opponents agree to do so.

NO GAMES TO BE PLAYED AFTER LAST FIXTURES
